In Nettelhorst, nearby Lochem, lives family Dinkelman. They run a dairy farm with 250 cows. Annually, cows bring an average of 10,300 litres of milk into the tank. With Fitboxes, Nirvana cow brushes, Highline feed fences, Cuddle box and several Spinder partition fences, the barn is largely equipped with Spinder products.
Dinkelman chose to equip the entire barn with Spinder products in 2023, after visiting the Spinder factory. In which Spinder's manure system was also chosen.
In this project, we zoom in on one specific part of the barn equipment, namely the manure removal system. In fact, all corridors are cleaned by our combi-scraper suitable for slotted floors. The manure is then further treated in a nitrogen stripper, which removes the ammonia from the manure. The remaining methane in the manure is used by the mono manure digester to power a cogeneration unit.
Specially designed for slotted floors, the combi-scraper ensures thorough cleaning of both the manure corridor and parallel trenches. The trenches are kept clean thanks to the fingers of the combi-scraper. The system works on the basis of strong PE rope - an animal-friendly drive that cows can safely walk over.
